Another Fall Thank You Card

Hello Everyone!! Gosh, time is flying by so quickly. I can't believe it's almost the weekend again. Just another Fall card. I really like this DP. . .it can be for any occasion. It has a pretty pattern.

I decided to play with a little considering I bought a lot them when they were on sale. Again, I have issues. Sale. . .don't even say that word to me. I will spend every bit of play money I have if you even mention a sale. I won't buy just one or two of the sale item, I'll buy 10 of them. Like yeah! How many lace do you need, Maria?

Fortunately, it works out really well with this card because the lace has a "scallop" look to it so it matches the scallop cut of the DP.

Do you see the button? Well, how can you miss it. . .it's so darn big! LOL! I bought a bag of buttons at a garage sale and all of them were still in their packages. Whoohoo! It was a steal.

Anyway, just having fun with the DP and the fall colors!!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful day!!

Stamp: Heidi Grace Clear Stamps
Paper: Deja View, SU Creamy Caramel, Tangerine Tango

Thank You Fall Color Card

Hiya Everyone!! Just a quicky card I made. . .I have butt loads of Fall designer papers and I really need to start using them. I sometimes wonder what is wrong with me. I have a paper fetish it seems. . . .I can't resist buying designer papers whether I need them or not.

I don't know. . .they just look so pretty. I can't help myself. Unfortunately, I have a lifetime worth of papers and I probably will never use them all.

Okay. . .this is going to sound a bit lame but I had told my husband and kids . . .jokingly. . .that if something ever happens to me, I need them to sell all my craft stuff on Ebay so they can get some money to pay for their college tuition or down payment on their cars. LOL!!

I told them that in no uncertain terms that they sell them at a garage sale or throw them away; otherwise, I'll come and haunt them if they do. Too funny.

Anyway, nothing much to this card so I won't talk about it.

Card Details:

Paper: SU Tangerie Tango, Deja View designer paper, Bazzil cardstock, DCWV designer paper
Accessories: Pebbles Inc. Ribbon, Prima Flowers, JoAnn brads

Negative Side of Yesterday's Card

Hello Friends! Thought you were looking at the same card from yesterday's post, huh! Well they do look alike but they are different. I used basically similar materials but for the second card, I used the "negative" part of the scallop oval shape from yesterday's card.

I am one who does not like to waste. . . anything. If I can create something with scraps, I'll use every little piece. . .that explains why my scrap pile is HUGE! I don't throw away anything.

I have a special affection for my craft materials. I once told my husband that if we ever got a divorce. . .just let me keep my scrap and stamp stuff and he can have everything else! LOL! Too funny! He can have the furniture and all our material belongings as long as I get to keep my crafting stuff.

He thought I was hilarious. . .but he did promise that he would never take away my stuff. When I tell people about my conversation with my husband. . .they laugh too! I don't know what is so funny about it. . .I mean other women will ask to keep their clothes, shoes, and jewelries. . .well. . .it's the same thing. . . I don't care for those sort of stuff. . .well, except for my Coach and Dooney and Bourke bags - I'll keep those. LOL!

How shamefully materialistic! Aren't we all to some degree?

Anyway, back to my card. . .just the same stuff as yesterday's card. Nothing much to it . I again added beads to the butterfly and dressed up my Prima flower. This time I added a metal hardware. I was just having fun with embellishments. . .which I shamefully have a lot of ! Argghh!

Hope y'all are having a fabulous weekend!!

Taking a Break from Halloween Cards

Hi Everyone!! Just taking a break from Halloween cards and projects! I decided to do something non-holiday. The ribbon looks a bit huge on this card but oh, well! I didn't have another green ribbon that matched so I had to use this one.

I don't use my CB embossing folders enough. I think I bought a few several months ago and still haven't used them. Me and sales. . .I buy a bunch of stuff then don't use them.

Anyway. . .just a little detail about this card. . . .can you see the beads on the butterfly? I'm really diggin' beads nowadays. They're so fun to use.

I CB embossed the cardstock then rubbed a bit of ink over it then cut a scallop shape with my Nestabilities Classic Scallop Oval die.

I added a rhinestone brad on to the prima flower. I love those rhinestone brads. It really makes the Primas look so pretty. I made another card using the negative side of the oval scallop. I'll post it tomorrow.

Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!!

Card Details:

Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Sky Blue, DCWV Eastern designer paper, Primas, Joann rhinestone brads, Nestabilities Classic Oval Scallop die, Marvy butterfly punch, micro beads (unknown), K&Co sticker, CB embossing folder, Offray Ribbon

Halloween Brownie Treat Box

Hey Everyone!! I was inspired to create a treat box after seeing all the cool treat boxes that Mel of Mel Stampz made. . .they looked so fun. I had a box of brownies and decided to create a box for them. The box size with the front and back cover is 4 1/4 x 3 1/4". I will be creating a tutorial for Stampin Club members on my Stampin Inspirations Club Site, otherwise I would post the tutorial here. I'm going to create it for their monthly kits.

Again, I'm trying to use up my fall papers, die cuts, and cardstocks that I used for previous card projects. I still have a few of them left to use up. Well, actually I still have a lot of them to use up. You're probably tired of seeing the same papers and die cuts. LOL!
I promise my next project or card will be on something else. I'll take a day off from Halloween or Fall stuff!!
Anyway, as you can see the brownie pack fits nicely into the box. I even dressed up the brownie.

Anyway, hope y'all have a fabulous Friday!!

More Random Halloween Cards

Hey Everyone! I created more Halloween cards using up my scrap pieces. Like I said, I have tons of them. I'm also trying to use up the K&Co Halloween die cuts that I purchased a week or so ago. I'll try to use up as much die cuts as I can. . .I don't want it them to end up in my huge pile of opened packages that I've collected throughout the years. I still have opened Halloween packages from last year, the previous year, and the year before that. I'm not sure why I don't use them up first before buying new stuff. I think my problem is when I'm in the store, I see the new stuff and don't think about the old stuff I already have. Only when I dig through my pile of stuff, I realize I still have the old stuff sitting and waiting to be used.

Anyway, I made these two cards rather quickly. No technique to it. . .just sort of sticking stuff on to a card base.

All of the papers are from DCWV Fall stack and all the die cuts are from K&Co.
Card Details:
Papers: DCWV Fall Stack, SU Eggplant envy, Lavender Lace, Pumpkin Pie, Green Galore
Accessories: K&Co Halloween Die Cuts, Ribbons (Michaels), Making Memories clip, SU Scallop Edge Punch

Random Halloween Cards

Hi Everyone! I'm trying to waste a bunch of cut up Halloween scrapbook paper that I used for other projects. I think that's the problem with 12 x 12 designer papers. . .well, they are so large and when making cards, you end up with a lot of scraps. Argggh. . . .when I finally think I've got a handle of my scrap pile, it starts to grow again. I think I have scrap papers from 4 years ago that I still need to use. LOL! Do you have that problem? I can't create fast enough to use them up.

If I have the time today, I'll try to make a few more Halloween cards before Halloween starts to creep in closer and I'll be disappointed that I didn't spend more time making Halloween cards. Maybe I'll create a few goody bags for my daughter's Key Club. If I start now, I won't have to rush later.

Card Details:
Papers: DCWV Fall stack, SU Elegant Eggplant, Only Orange, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: K&Co Halloween die cuts, SU Scallop Edge, Halloween ribbons (Michales), Nestabilities Classic Scallop Oval, Coluzzle Oval Template

Treasure and Explore Altered Box

Hi Everyone! Here is a "treasure box" that I created today. I basically altered a "Kraft Box" and I plan to fill it up with little treasures . ..you know, mementos such as little trinkets, post cards, letters, etc. The size of the box is 4.5 x 6.5". The box design already has a special treasure on it. The "Baby's Breath" on the ribbon and the flower came from a bouquet of flowers that my husband gave me for our anniversary this year.

To create the box, I adhered "Deja View" designer paper on to the box and the coordinating chipboards. I then added the ribbon, Prima flower, button, and Baby's Breath. That's it. . . .it took about 1/2 hour to make this altered box. Sheesh, it was faster than making a card! LOL!

Here's a close up of the Baby's Breath. The button is a wood button that I found at a garage sale. A lady was selling a large bag of these brand new, still in the package buttons in various designs and sizes. There were at least over 50 packs of buttons and she sold it to me for $3.00. Oh my gosh, it was a steal!!

She initially was going to sell it to me for $5.00 and I was standing there inspecting what was in the plastic bag. . .I guess long enough for her to think I was going to walk away so the lady suddenly said, you can have for $3.00. I was going to buy it for $5.00 but hey, considering she insisted, $3.00 sounds good to me!! I didn't even need to bargain with the lady! LOL!

This is the top of the box! Nothing much else to it. . .

Here's another close up of the top of the box. I really like how it turned out especially because I had added the Baby Breath from my pretty anniversary bouquet. It makes it special.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Friday!!

Pumpkin Card Template

Hi Everyone! These cards were really fun to make. If you want to try it out, I posted the template that I created for this card project. Just print the image directly from the Internet. My card size without the card base - the card to the right measures 5x5". When printing the image, you may adjust the size as desired. Cut out the image and trace it on to a designer paper.

Here is the first card I made. I printed 2 copies of the template and cut the whole image out and with the second copy, I cut only the leaf and stem. I traced the template with the whole image on to designer paper and traced the leaf/stem on to a olive colored cardstock. With a sewing machine, I sewn the stitches. With the leaf, I had to hand stitch it. After designing the pumpkin shape, I adhered it to a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" card base.

I, basically, did the same thing with this card but rather than adhering it to a card base, I created a pumpkin shape card. To do this, fold a 5 1/2 x x 11" cardstock in half and trace the image with the stem on the "folded" side. Cut the image out and attach the decorated pumpkin shape on to the pumpkin shaped card base.

Click on the image. When printing the image, you will need to adjust your image to a smaller percentage because for some reason, blogger won't upload the image to scale. If printing directly from the Internet, you may need to reduce the size to 40%.

Card Details:

Paper: DCWV, SU Really Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive
Accessories: K&Co Fall die cuts, Pebbles, Inc. Ribbon
