Taking a Break from Halloween Cards

Hi Everyone!! Just taking a break from Halloween cards and projects! I decided to do something non-holiday. The ribbon looks a bit huge on this card but oh, well! I didn't have another green ribbon that matched so I had to use this one.

I don't use my CB embossing folders enough. I think I bought a few several months ago and still haven't used them. Me and sales. . .I buy a bunch of stuff then don't use them.

Anyway. . .just a little detail about this card. . . .can you see the beads on the butterfly? I'm really diggin' beads nowadays. They're so fun to use.

I CB embossed the cardstock then rubbed a bit of ink over it then cut a scallop shape with my Nestabilities Classic Scallop Oval die.

I added a rhinestone brad on to the prima flower. I love those rhinestone brads. It really makes the Primas look so pretty. I made another card using the negative side of the oval scallop. I'll post it tomorrow.

Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!!

Card Details:

Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Sky Blue, DCWV Eastern designer paper, Primas, Joann rhinestone brads, Nestabilities Classic Oval Scallop die, Marvy butterfly punch, micro beads (unknown), K&Co sticker, CB embossing folder, Offray Ribbon

Very pretty, luv your idea of embossing the oval & rubbing ink on the raised embossing, I love that look, adds a touch of elegance to a card! Those beads on the butterflies are so gorgeous! What did you use to glue the beads down?

This is stunning, and I don't think the ribbon looks huge at all! It adds drama! Love it! Best, Curt
