Random Card - Last Whipper Snapper Design

This is the last Whipper Snapper stamp I'm going to use for a few days. I have more but I don't want to be redundant. Isn't this mouse the absolute cutest! I mean seriously. But there's something funny about this mouse. Do you see the center where his belly is. . .between his arms. I think that's suppose to be his belly button. Check out my previous post of the other mouse. . .they both have HUGE belly buttons. Ummmm. . .is that normal? These Whipper Snapper mice are major outies. Haha! I didn't know mice have big belly buttons. .

Anyway. . .this stamp is called "No Peeking". I colored the image, again, with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, the DP is by DCWV and the color combo is brilliant blue and brocade blue. I used a paper piercer to create the dots, the swirl clip is from Office Depot, and the ribbon is by Basic Basic.

Stamping tip:

I don't know if you can see it in the picture but I colored around the mouse, not with Prismacolor Pencils. . .sheesh, forget that! It would take too much time to color such a large area. I used SU watercolor crayons (you can use regular water colors) and colored around the image. Don't waste your time coloring backrounds with color pencils. . .it doesn't come out too well in my opinion. Watercolor gives the background a subtle touch of color which I think is better.

Another tip. . .if you can't wait for your card to dry after watercoloring, dry it with a heating tool (the same one that you use for heat embossing). I'm not a big fan of watercoloring because the cardstock becomes all distorted after it dries. . .to straighten out the cardstock, run it through a die-cut machine (Cuttlebug, Big Shot, etc) to press it flat . . . .just run it under the roller several times and it should flatten out.

Maria, I'm pretty sure that's his nose! Like his head is tilted down a little, and his nose is pointing downward!
I LOVE your coloured images.

Hi Maria,
Love the card and color choice!
About the belly button, I think that's his nose because he is covering his eyes and his hands and kind of short...Adorable!

Hey Maria, I was just at the Whippersnapper site and realized that the "belly button" is actually a patch on their chest, like how kitties and dogs have a light patches. So, hopefully I solved the nose or belly button mystery...LMBO! ;)
