Daily Special - Christmas in September

Good Morning, Friends. . . wow, I got an early start today! I woke up at 4:30. . which is early for me. I woke up early because I went to bed early for once. I typically go to bed at midnight and wake up at 6:00 but last night, I went to bed at 10:00. I think I like this schedule better. I'm not that productive too late at night so it's sort of wasted hours.

I created this card using a tag that I had created a few weeks ago. I decided to create a card with it instead. I colored the image with Prismacolor markers then applied SU Crystal Effects to the scarf and hat.

Card Details:
Stamps: JRL Design "Peter Penguin, Inkadinkado Holiday Collection, SU Lace Snowflakes
Ink: Prismacolor Markers
Paper: Provocraft Holiday Slab V, DCWV Textured Cardstock Red and Green
Accessories: Provocraft Scallop scissors, Making Memories Swirl Clips, Grosgrain Ribbon, Santa's Workbench Ribbon, JoAnns Brads, Silver Metallic Cord, Clear Stickles, SU Crystal Effects, Crafter's Tool Kit (paper piercer)

I agree with you on the trendy stuff, it's all so cool and where do I store it all? I think our stamp companies like SU creating a sense of urgency to buy doesn't help us either. They know how to market to our craft addictive natures. I've been telling myself for several months now, use what you have and it's working.

Bravo Maria....Bravo!!!!!
I give you my utmost respect because you are not afraid to speak your mind. I need to think twice about alot of things I buy on a "whim"! Somethings I totally resist items because of the price and somethings I give in.
But I admire and respect you for being you! The penguin is really cute and I like this sketch also!

I love penguins!!! This is an adorable card!!! I love the fact that you don't fall into the retail trap that companies set for us all, I admire you for that. Right now I can't afford much (since hubby & I retired) & have learned to live without things that while I was working...I just had to have, now I think long & hard before I buy anything. Thanks for sharing!

This is one of the cutest penguins I've ever seen. I love the very colorful and warm design you've created.
