Blog Candy Challenge Day 2

Don't forget to stop by Stampin Inspiration for that site's challenges

Good Morning Folks! Well today is day 2 of my "Blog Candy Challenges" and I added a prize to the prize bucket! I added the Colorbox Petal Point pigment ink pad. Stampin Up up until this year sold the Colorbox Chalk Petal Point ink pad. I didn't see it in this year's catalog. I love this ink pad because it's very versatile. If I have the time today, I'll add a video tutorial on how versatile the pad is. Be sure to return tomorrow to see Day 3's challenge and added prize. Good luck!

If you've been following my Blog Candy, you would know by now that you have multiple opportunities to enter your name for this blog candy. How? For those who have not had an opportunity to stop by my blog sites in the last few days. . .well, each day I add a challenge on both my blog sites "Card Inspired" and "Stampin Inspirations". You may participate in both site's challenges and have an opportunity to add 2 entries each day until my Blog Candy ends on December 5th!

Blog Candy Challenge Day 2

"What technique would you like for me to create on a video tutorial?"

If you are a regular visitor to my blog sites, you already know that I've recently started creating video tutorials. I'm not sure what type of techniques people would like to see so this blog candy challenge will help me figure out what tutorials to create.

The challenge is to comment this post and let me know what technique you would like to see on a video tutorial? That's it! Simple, huh? You have until December 5th to answer this question.

Okay folks. . .why don't you stop by Stampin Inspirations and check out that site's challenge!

I would like to see that sticky powder from stamping up, to use with glitter.

The colors of Martha Stewarts glitters are so pretty that I couldn't resist buying a few bottles. Now I have no idea what to do with them. Please do a tutorial on glitter:) I love using Stickles, but have never used the loose kind.

I would like to see a tutorial on wire...some techniques on including it on a card! Cheers!

I have always wanted a tutorial on using shrink plastic as I really don't understand the sanding process and why it needs to be done. I also like the idea of the glitter tutorial too, so either would make me very happy. Thanks Maria.

Yes, a tutorial on how to use the different glitters, like Dazzling Diamonds. Any special things that we need to get or do to a card before adding the glitter. I tried to use the DD last week & didn't know that you use it with 2 way glues not the versamark. Needless to say my card did not happen & it looked sooo pretty too before the DD fell off. Oh well, live & learn. Thanks

There is a technique using shaving cream and ink. I'm not sure how that is done.

Thanks!

I'd love to see some chalk tecniques. I always have a problem getting them to look as great as they do in photos and a video would be great!. Great blog candy too.

Oh, I could really use a tutorial on things that I can do with alcohol inks. I am slowly accumulating the supplies I need to play with it, but I'm not sure what supplies I need vs. the ones that are nice to have. Thanks!

I love video tutorials!!
Hmmm, chalk techniques....projects that involve folding a certain way, so much easier to understand when you actually see it.

If you have any good paper-folding technique I wouldn't mind seeing that. I have the hardest time figuring that out even when they have directions...

I'd like to see heat emboss resist or crayon resist on video. I know those are fairly simple techniques but it would help to be able to see them done "in person".

I would love to see marker blending I can't seem to get the hang of this

I love video tutorials and would love to see one on using the heat gun for heat embossing. I'm embossing-challenged and am always scorching the paper, or not melting the EP enough. So simple, I know, but I need to SEE it done the right way! Thanks!

Hi Maria,
I'd love to see some tutorials on using acetate in cardmaking.

wow, if you do some on what was mentioned by others, we'll have some really awesome tutorials to learn!!!!
thanks for asking us this, this was a great challenge.

Oh wow there is so many things: I'd love more glossy paper help,I can never seem to get it to work, versamark is a mystery to me aswell and the never ending things you do with it. How you add glitter all over, emboss it and how it turns out beautiful. Those kinda things..lol

Hey Maria,

This probably sounds absolutely ignorant, but I would love a tutuorial for different sized cards and a basic size mat for each popular size, and the sizes of the coordinating envelopes for each. Hope this makes sense.

Ok...I would love to know how to do glass etching with stamping. Do you know how to do this one? I have painted the etching cream on glass vases before but I can't seem to figure out how to get the etched image. I think it is like masking, but what do you make with that the etching cream doesn't eat through. This is a great quiestion for your challenge. Sounds like you are going to be a busy girl, haha! :)

I would love to know how to use Copic when coloring.... I imagine it's easy- but I am not familiar with that ingredient! Does it come from an art store?

How to use the perfect pearls other than versamark!

I am such a beginner I dont' know what techniques are out there to even request on. I only know about it, AFTER I see a tutiorial. I hope there are great ideas out there. Basically, I think all teh basic ones would be great...I look at some of the items in SU catalog and wonder what is that for?

I would love to see something using brass stencils. I have several, but don't really use them. Thanks for all the fun contests.

This isn't exactly a tutorial, maybe more of a helpful hint. When I make a card I like, I hate to give it up so I end up keeping it for future dimensions. I use lots of scrap paper to come up with my card measurements. What is a good method to keep card sketches and measurements?? Thanks.

I would love to see a tutorial on making gift holders for a set of cards. I also have to second the one about heat and stick powder ...I have some and hardly use it.

I'd like to see a tutorial on how to use more common (aka inexpensive lol!) items to make outstanding cards. And how to make really great flat cards - ie: ones that can be mailed without extra postage. :)

Hi Maria!
To tell you the truth, I think you do an excellent job with your step-by-step picture tutorials. I have no problem following along with them.

I love tutorials & videos tutorials are awesome. It would be great to see some chalking techniques that might help me get my chalk out more often. I seem to forget that I have it.

I would like to see more paper folding techniques.. I have a hard time with those for some reason..

How to cut out images without them looking all dorky, like they were cut like a 5 year old! I rarely do cut out images on my projects for just that reason.
