Hi Everyone! I've had a small stack of metallic cardstock for about 3 years that I've never used so I decided to create a card with the metallic cardstock. I had organized my cardstocks a week ago and realized I still had them. I also had a package of metallic stickers that was opened and partially used up and it matched perfectly with my silver metallic cardstock.
I don't like working with stickers that have no dimensions as the primary image because on a handmade card, it just looks like you stuck it on. I don't feel like I "made" the card. LOL! So. . . . I stuck one of the heart stickers on to the cardstock and cut the image out and mounted it over the first sticker with foam tape to give it a 3D look.
I stamped the sentiment on the backside of a photo paper piece that was in my scrap pile and heat embossed the sentiment. I noticed that the photo paper began to texturize giving the paper a "rough, textured look". I really liked the look of it. I wonder if I print a photo and heat emboss the paper, it would give the image a canvas look. I'll try it out one day and let you know how it turned out!
Now back to my metallic cardstock. . . I took my cuttlebug embossing folder and embossed the metallic cardstock. It gave the embossing a pretty foiled look. I love it!
I didn't post a sketch for this card because the layout out is too simple!
Nothing much else to the card. Hope you all have a fabulous day!!
