Daily Special - Featured Stamp - Penny Black

Wow, it's been such a busy few days that I haven't been able to create. Father's Day went really well. . .it was nice. We BBQ'd and just spent time hanging out together with the kids.

Today's Daily Special is "Featured Stamp" and this stamp is by "Penny Black". I really love Penny Black stamps and I have a few of them. This stamp is called "Hi There" and I think it's such a cute stamp. I don't think I did a good job coloring the pail. It looks sort of weird. I put the highlights in the wrong places. That's okay. . .

Anyway. . .I'll make another card using the same stamp and fix the pail.

On my Stampin Inspirations blog site, I talked about the fact that my husband bought me a Craft Robo. It's an electronic die-cut machine similar to Cricut but works with your computer instead of cartridges.

Anyway, I've been spending a lot of my free time trying to figure out how to use it. I haven't been able to create any cards because there's a HUGE learning curve with this machine and it's been consuming so much of my time trying to learn this machines capabilities. The plus side of all of this is so far I've managed to learn how to create die-cuts from jpg and bitmap files, as well as creating words using True Type Fonts. It's AMAZING what you can do with this machine.

As I get better at using this machine, I'll start to create projects with it. I bought a book on how to use "Adobe Illustrator CS2" so I can create my own images and shapes to cut. My husband installed the program last night and I've been able to cut a few images, such as scallop and oval circles in various sizes. I was going to buy the Giga Punch but now I don't have to.

Anyway, if I don't post as many cards and projects in the next few days, it's because I'll be busy trying to figure out how to work my machine.

Until later folks. . .
