Pumpkin Card Template

Hi Everyone! These cards were really fun to make. If you want to try it out, I posted the template that I created for this card project. Just print the image directly from the Internet. My card size without the card base - the card to the right measures 5x5". When printing the image, you may adjust the size as desired. Cut out the image and trace it on to a designer paper.

Here is the first card I made. I printed 2 copies of the template and cut the whole image out and with the second copy, I cut only the leaf and stem. I traced the template with the whole image on to designer paper and traced the leaf/stem on to a olive colored cardstock. With a sewing machine, I sewn the stitches. With the leaf, I had to hand stitch it. After designing the pumpkin shape, I adhered it to a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" card base.

I, basically, did the same thing with this card but rather than adhering it to a card base, I created a pumpkin shape card. To do this, fold a 5 1/2 x x 11" cardstock in half and trace the image with the stem on the "folded" side. Cut the image out and attach the decorated pumpkin shape on to the pumpkin shaped card base.

Click on the image. When printing the image, you will need to adjust your image to a smaller percentage because for some reason, blogger won't upload the image to scale. If printing directly from the Internet, you may need to reduce the size to 40%.

Card Details:

Paper: DCWV, SU Really Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive
Accessories: K&Co Fall die cuts, Pebbles, Inc. Ribbon

Butterfly Template Card

Hi Everyone!! Remember a few days ago, I made a scrapbook layout with a large butterfly using a template that I drew on Adobe Illustrator. . .well, here is a card I made using the same template. It's a great way to use up your scrap designer papers!!

It was fun making this card. I love anything layered!! I used K&CO designer paper, cut out the image, rubbed Tim Holtz distressing ink around the butterfly images, added wire works in the shape of an antenna, added a few buttons, and adhered it to my card. That's about it.

The "smile" sentiment is by K&CO and the ribbon is by Basic, Basic.

Anyway. . .if you want try out the template. . .click here.

Hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend!!

Butterfly Template and Scrapbook Layout

Hi Everyone! I created this layout last night and everything about it was easy but when it came to the chipboard alpha. . . arggghh! It's the sort of chipboard that is raw . . .you know, non-decorated. I adhered the designer paper on to the chipboard but when it came to cutting the designer paper with a blade. . .okay, that's when the "issues" began. I could not cut it nicely with the craft knife. It took me forever to to cut them out. It just didn't look very smooth . . .I guess I'm not a very good craft knife cutter, LOL!!

Anyway, the picture is of my daughter with the wind blowing across her face; hence, the title "Blown Away"!! If you want to know how to create a "vintage" look to a photo, visit my blog site "Photo Inspirations". I posted a Photoshop tutorial on desaturation.

The Prima flowers on my layout is by Making Memories. The designer paper is by K&CO, brads by JoAnns, chipboard shape and alpha is by Colorbok, and the buttons are just regular sewing buttons that I found in the sewing department at JoAnns. The buttons in the sewing department is cheaper than the ones sold at the scrapbook section.

Okay. . . my layered butterfly is a butterfly that I drew on Adobe Illustrator and I created a template to share with y'all! You can use it as an embellishment for your scrapbook layouts or for your cards. The butterfly measures 4.5 x 4.5".

Try it out if you want!! My next project will be to use the butterfly template for a card project.

This template has the "center body". You can use it to paper piece the butterfly. Click on the image and you can print it directly from the Internet. I think if you print it directly from the Internet, the size will shrink by maybe 1/2"; you may need to adjust your printer to enlarge the images somewhat.

Actually, you can resize the images in any fashion you want by enlarging the percentage on your printer or photo editor.

This image is without the "center body". If you don't want the lines to show on your butterfly, you can use this template. This is the template I used for my scrapbook layout.

If you plan to use my templates and will be posting your project on your blog or website, all I ask is that you give me credit for the template by linking back to this post. Much Mahalo!!

Anyway. . .hope y'all are having a wonderful Sunday!!

Layered Flower Template

Hi Everyone! This card was inspired by Mel's template of "Mel Stampz" that she provided on her blog site. I liked the idea how she added stitches to her card so I added stitches to my card too. I used fibers for my stitching. . .I wanted to do something different and I have a ton of these fibers. Remember when they were popular several years ago. . .well, I still have them. I don't see too many people using these fibers on their cards and quite honestly, I really don't know what do with mine!

If you've been reading my posts for the past few days, you'll know that I've been focusing on Mel's templates and projects. She has lots of creative ideas on her blog so this week, I'm going to work on them.

Here is another card I made with Mel's template. Again, I used fibers for the flower but rather creating a flower card, I adhered the layered flower on to a 5.5 x 5.5 square card. I am so much fun making these cards.

Be sure to stop by Mel's blog site to check out the template and the other fun stuff on her blog!!

Mel has tutorials on how to create your own templates and it really inspired me to come up with my own stuff. I've had Adobe Illustrator CS2 for about a year but it's so darn complicated and well, I'm no techie so I rarely used this powerful program. I primarily use it to create templates for my Craft Robo (Wishblade) but I typically use templates made by other people because I don't know how to create my own graphic images on Illustrator. From Illustrator, my Craft Robo (Wishblade) cuts graphic images directly from the program.

Illustrator now comes in a newer CS3 version. I have CS2. This program is primarily used by graphic artists and illustrators so it's a very expensive program. The complete CS3 package run about $600 and the upgrade to CS3 cost around $200. I have it on my computer because my husband works in the computer/IT industry. I would not buy it for myself. It's not like I'm planning to become a graphic illustrator! LOL!

I decided yesterday to follow a few tutorials on how to draw on Illustrator and WOW! OMG, I found a tutorial that teaches you how to create simple flowers on Illustrator! It's so darn easy to create them! I couldn't believe that I've never used this program to create my own templates! Anyway, I created this flower template yesterday. As a matter of fact I created 5 different types. I'll post them as I make cards for the templates!

As you can see, the flowers are very layered and 3D! It does take a bit of cutting but if you don't mind. . .well, layering flowers are so fun!
What I do when I cut these templates. . .I watch TV! LOL! It really helps from getting bored while cutting. It sort of kills two birds with one stone.

Card Details:

Stamp: Inkadinkado
Paper: SU Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise, DCWV designer papers,
Accessories: SU Night of Navy ink, 1", 1 1/4", and 1 3/8" circle punch, grosgrain ribbon

Here is the flower template I created yesterday. Click on the image and it will enlarge. It'll look very, very large but if you print directly from the Internet rather than saving the template, it'll print to scale. If you save it and print it from your file, you may need to do a test print. The print size will be dependent on your computer program that you used to print the image. For example, when I print from Photoshop, it prints a size larger which is okay too. You can create different size flowers!

Thanks Mel for inspiring me to create my own templates!

3x3 Purse Box and 3 Cards with Envie

Hi Everyone! I decided that this week I'll work on some of Mel of "Mel Stampz"projects, templates, and links that she sweetly provides for her blog readers. She also post tutorials for nearly all her creations which I KNOW takes a lot of work and effort. So, to show my appreciation, I'll work on some of her projects and the links that she list on her blog!! I'll be posting on both Card Inspired and Stampin Inspirations depending if I use primarily rubber stamps or scrappy materials. I posted this project here because I used minimal amount of stamping.

Mel listed a link of 3x3 purse/box projects so I decided to work on the first link on the list. My next project will be to work on Mel's own 3x3 purse that she kindly provided the template and tutorial.

This Stacey's 3x3 box and envie can be found directly here: Click Here Being me, I modified the project a little bit. I took the envelope template and cut the side flaps and rather than using the template for just the envelope, I created 3x3 matchbook style cards with the envelope template. I also created the matching envelopes with the same template.

This 3x3 box is actually a box template but I added a ribbon purse handle to modify it so it looks more like a purse that holds the cards and envelopes.

Card/purse details:
Stamps: SU Small Scripts, Inkadinkado
Paper: DCWV summer stack, light blue cardstock (unknown)
Ink: SU Night of Navy
Accessories: SU Word Window Punch, SU 5-Petal Flower, JoAnn Brads

Pie Box Template

Hi Everyone! I had created this pie box for my club site and decided to post it here. I included the template below. . .I'm sorry that it's not the best copy of the template but it's workable if you want to try it out. Click on the image and it will enlarge. It will look really large but when you print it, it will print appropriately on to a 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock.
I decorated the box using CTMH Life Delights Level 2 Paper Kit and added the CTMH Autumn Daisy flowers. The "thanks" sentiment is from the CTMH "For Every Occasion" stamp set. It's a fun party favor, if you want to try it out!

3D Flower Template - Serendipity Kit and Photo Plaque

Hi Everybody! Here are photo plaques I created. The flowers were created using a template I found online: Click Here for the templates and instructions. If you drop by my Stampin Inspirations blog site, I also made cards using this flower template. I'm in the process of making a mini album using the template which I'll post when I'm done.

I bought this cork mat at Lowes which cost about a $1.50. It's a fabulous board to decorate and use as a plaque to attach a photo and hang on the wall. The measurement of the cork mat is 8 inches and the largest flower of my project measures 7.5 inches so it's a fairly large plaque.
I took the flower project and glued it on to the cork mat and I'm planning to hang it on to my wall in my craft room.

This is the finished project at a side angle. It's very 3D looking. I love it.

I made a whole bunch of these flower projects. I still need to buy a few more cork mats to attach my flower projects. I'm still debating whether I should create the mini albums and attachin these flower projects or attach them to the cork mat.
This pictures shows the ones I made for my kids.
I used DCWV Nursery Designer papers. The papers are very thick, almost cardstock quality and is glittered or has a 3D texture. Very, very pretty papers.

This picture is of my cats China and Dori. I used DCWV Pet Stack. This paper is to die for especially if you have pets and would like to create scrapbook layouts or projects for your pet pictures. The papers like the nursery stack are very thick and are glittered or have a 3D texture.

This is my lovely sweet buddy Dori. She is the sweetest cat, so affectionate and so loving. I never thought I could love a cat but Dori is unique. She loves to hug us. She literally wraps her paws around our tummy or lap. I love Dori like I would a human family member. I love all my pets the same way but Dori is the special one.

These are pictures of my dogs, Dakota and Phoenix. Dakota is very sneaky. . .Phoenix is a very kind hearted dog. Again, I used the DCWV Pet Stack for the flowers.
