Random Card - Just Another Card I Made Using Autumn Leaves Stamps

Just another card I made using "Autumn Leaves" stamp sets. I am having so much fun with them. Do you ever wonder if all I do is stamp all day? Haha! I wish that was possible. I probably would if given a choice. Actually, I rubber stamp on average 1 to 2 hours several times a week. Sometimes I'll spend more time stamping.

How do I find the time. . .well. . .I'll stamp whenever I can fit the time. If we're watching a show on TV as a family, I'll bring down a few stamps to the family room and during commercials, I'll rubber stamp. Really. . .that's how I find the time. When the kids are doing their homework or in school and I don't have errands or chores, I'll spend more time stamping. My husband plays "World of War Craft" (video game) on his down time . . .whose husband is into this game? Anyway, when everyone is doing their own hobbies. . .I'll stamp. When we're driving long distance, I'll bring a few scrap items and cut out pieces. . .as the saying goes, if there's a will, there's a way.

Okay. . .now back to the card. The stamps used are from the Autumn Leaves stamp sets "Nature Stamp" and "Word Flourishes". Oh these stamps are sooooo pretty.

Stamping Tip:

I rubber stamped the flowers at the corner of a scrapbook paper then colored it with markers. In this case, I used the Prismacolor Markers. I then highlighed the flowers using a white Prismacolor pencils. When coloring over a scrapbook paper, choose a scrapbook paper with small designs. Despite coloring over the scrapbook design with the markers, it will still show up a little bit and if the pattern on the paper is too bold, it will show through the area that you colored with the markers and also distort the color.

I colored the bird with Prismacolor Markers and I wanted a little texture so the bird looked like it had a little bit of feathers, I took a white Prismacolor pencil and added strokes of white over the colored area.

Paper: Stampin Up Pretty In Pink, Sage Shadow, K&C0 K-ology Scrapbook Paper
Accessories: 1" Circle Punch, JoAnn Copper Brad, Berwick Ribbon Boutique Ribbon

Until later. . .

My hubby played WOW for a few months. Now his interest has shifted to Oblivion on the PS3. Same type of game. At least his hobby is as expensive as mine- he can't complain about how much I spend on stamps when he goes to computer stores every other day! :)
Cute card BTW! I think I need that bird!
