Check out Malieta's submission! Isn't it great. She really has a beautiful family and she did a wonderful job with her "Scrappy Card". I really love how the picture is centered with the card opening up to it. It can be sent to a loved one and can be readily displayed on a table. Malieta has a wonderful blog site called "Life's Simple Pleasures". Be sure to drop by and say "hello". . .she has a lot of beautiful creations to share with you!

Malieta's card front is a "gate fold". Isn't it a wonderful way to open up to a beautiful family picture.

Thank you Malieta for you wonderful creation and for participating in this week's TIC.

Here is a BEAUTIFUL "Scrappy Card" submitted by Beth. Beth is so sweet. She sent this to me early in the morning because she wanted to submit it on time. Beth has been participating in my challenge since I started it and I really appreciate that she is interested in them. She used a daisy picture to go with her beautiful stamped background. I love the contrast of the flowers and the background. It's always impressive to see such wonderful work by others. They are all inspiring to me!!Be sure to drop by Beth's blog site "Sunflowers and Dragonflies" to view all of her wonderful and beautiful creations!!

Happy Sunday Everyone. Sorry, I'm posting this "Scrappy Card" so late. . .my husband is leaving on a business trip tomorrow and he wanted to spend family time with us before he leaves. I didn't even step into my craft room all day. It's almost midnight and only now posting some of the submissions that was sent to me.

This "Scrappy Card" is a picture of us as a family. This is the last "professional" picture we took together. It was taken a little over 2 years ago. I know it's an old picture but we don't have any other professional photos of us that is current. I'm planning to give this card to my husband on our Anniversary next month. He is really big on family and I think it will go great with my Anniversary card that I made for him.

Card Detail:

Stamp: Heidi Grace
Ink: SU Real Red, Basic Black
Paper: SU Real Red, Black, Whisper White, DCWV scrapbook paper
Accessories: Darice rhinestone, Fiskar "Cloud" scissors, SU "Slit Punch"

Here is a "Scrappy Card" that I made for my TIC. I created the flower using my Craft Robo. The beauty of Craft Robo is you can create any size within 8 x 39 inches . This is a card for my daughter's cousin Melissa. They were "best buds" since childhood. They're not as close as they were since we moved to California two years ago but the years they spent together brings back such good memories. Using a pink Sakura gel pen, I wrote in "Best Buds" around the flower as well as the faux stiches around the edge of the card. The designer paper is by K & Co. I also cut the picture using Fiskar's Scallop scissors and matted it on to a scalloped circle.

If interested in participating in this week's challenge, you still have time. The last day for submissions is tomorrow 12:00 PST. Drawing of prize will be done on Monday. . .click here for the details.

Good Afternoon Everyone! Check out Hulda's beautiful "Scrappy Card" submission. She made this card for her son's friend. Isn't it cute? I love it. This is such a great example of a "Scrappy Card". Hulda has a fabulous blog site called "Aunty Scrappy". . .be sure to drop by her fabulous blog site and say "hello"!!

Here is Hulda's card opened up. It includes a drawing that her son made. Isn't it a great idea to add a little child's artwork to a card. I love that idea!

Thank you Hulda for participating in my Scrappy Card Challenge

Wow check out Ila's "Scrappy Card" submission. My goodness, it's absolutely beautiful! I really love the romantic vintage look to it. Ila said she created this card for a wedding that she was attending. The wedding couple will definitely appreciate this beautiful "Scrappy Card". Ila has a wonderful blog site called "Artfully Ila" and her cards are fabulous! Be sure to drop by and check out her site and you'll see what I mean. Thank you Ila for participating in my TIC.

Good Afternoon Everyone! Check out Jan's "Scrappy Card". Fabulous, isn't it. Jan created this "Scrappy Card" for her friend (Jan and her friend is pictured together). Isn't she sweet to do something nice for her friend. I'm positive her friend appreciated this card. I love "Scrappy Cards" because they're so personal. Receipients of these cards really feel the "love" that you put into your card. Jan has a blog site called "She's Gone Stampin'". There's so many great elements to her card. I absolutely was happy to receive her beautiful card. Thank you Elaine for the wonderful RAK!!

Here is a sampler for those of you who may be stumped with a card idea for this week's TIC. My anniversary won't be until next month but I thought it would be a great time and great challenge to create a card with a picture of my husband and I together. Keep in mind, it's an old picture of us. . . when I was still skinny. The point is to get him to "smile" when he opens it! Haha!

The card was created using a double sided designer paper by K&Co. The sentiment is from a vellum quote stack that I had sitting for ages and never used. I shaded the edge using dye ink by scraping or rubbing the ink directly using a sponge dauber.

I created the scallop edge with Fiskar's "Cloud" scissors. . .my favorite scissors. I added dots using Sakura Souffle opaque gel pen. The flowers are embellishments by Jolee's Boutique.

Here is the card opened up. I typed a message using my computer and printed it on SU Lavender Lace cardstock, added a ribbon by Dots, Dashes & Checks, and again the flower by Jolee's Boutique

The right side of the card is a picture of us together. . .about a few years ago. We had attended a Christmas party and we were dressed up. I cut the picture using Fiskar's Heart Template and matted it. I used a scrap of the double sided paper and turned it to the other side to give the design some contrast and again cut the edge using Fiskar's "Cloud" Scissors. The sentiment "You & Me" is a scrap embellishment by Colorbok. I attached the sentiment using sheer ribbons. The flowers are the left overs from Jolee's Boutique.

I'll post more card ideas to help anyone out who have never made a "Scrappy Card"!!

Hi Maria!
I just want you to know that I come to your page all the time and contemplate trying the different challenges. After getting over my "pins and needles" I completed a challenge. I would have had it in sooner but I was a bundle of nerves. I have the card at my web site http://malieta-lifessimplepleasures.blogspot.com/
