Random Cards - Time is Just Flying By!!

Do you feel that time just seems to be flying by way too quickly? I feel that way all the time. I remember waking up this morning and before I knew it, it's almost midnight. Here I am sitting down finishing up my posts and responding to my emails. . .wow, it's almost time to go to bed.

I had these grand plans to sit down today and make a bunch of cards but nope, it didn't happen. I actually made these cards last night, once again, close to midnight.

It's a little frustrating because I think I have a major problem with time management. I seriously need to make a "list to do" because despite being busy, I don't feel I'm very productive.

Life is a major balancing act. . .I can't blog, create cards, scrapbook, answer emails, and have a life all at the same time. Something always ends up being compromised. Imagine that! I don't even work. It's funny because when I was working, I found a lot time to stamp. I think because I knew that my time to stamp and make cards were very limited so I was very focused and made sure I used my time wisely. Because I'm not working, I think I have a tendency to not set a schedule which can be a problem.

I think I'm going to use my MANY organizers/planner. Yes, I have at least 4 of them, believe it or not. I sometimes ask myself. . .why would I need 4 organizers when I don't follow any of my plans.

I have a fetish for organizers, journals, crop-bags, cards, and stationery as well as rubber stamps, scrapbook paper, ribbons, embellishments. . .the list goes on and on. I'm a freak for them. I collect them and don't use them. I just need to have them. Do you have this problem too?

How did I get this way? I can't ever seem to get enough of them. I'm a little disturbed by it. I think it's a form of shopaholism. Is that a word? I never thought I was a shopaholic but I'm beginning to think I am. Instead of buying clothes, shoes, or jewelry, I buy paper products.

Anyway, enough of my issues. . .these are just random cards I made. The first card above was made using Heidi Grace and My Sentiments Exactly stamp sets. I cut out the flowers and layered them then added rhinestones. The paper is by DCWV Glitter Stack.

The second card was created using Autumn Leaves "Swirls" and Memory Box "Patterned Flowers". Both stamp sets are clear stamps. The designer paper is by DCWV, the "Love You" sentiment is a sticker by K&Co, the rhinestones by Darice. The cardstock color combo is SU Cameo Coral and Brocade Blue. Inks are Really Rust, Cameo Coral and Brocade Blue.

Tomorrow I'll try to be a bit more focused and concentrate on making a bunch of cards. Yeah, right! We'll see if it'll actually happen!

Anyway, goodnight everyone!!

Cute cards - and you hit the nail on the head. When I worked I got more done because I knew I had to do it. Now that I'm retired I find that I waste alot of time because I keep thinking there is always tomorrow!!

The top card really intriques me. I kept looking and looking, thinking, nah the cutting couldn't be done by hand, perhaps it was a punch. Then I read your blogging and discovered that yes indeed you did cut out the flowers by hand. OMG what an awesome cutting job. I really like this card because of the colours and those cut out flowers. Great job!

I just LOVE this layout! I always struggle with where to put flowers after water-colouring/embossing them and cutting them out. The repetition is stunning! :0) Mel
